MYA FALL CROSS COUNTRY PROGRAM
Our Fall Cross Country Program runs from September through October. The 5-7 week season consists of 3-4 regular season meets, Frank Horton Classic, and a championship meet. The series concludes with a regional championship meet that allows athletes from all over West TN a chance to qualify for the TN State Elementary and Middle School XC Championships in October, or compete in the HS County Championships. Athletes may compete “unattached” or with a school based team. Volunteer coaches are needed to coach many school based teams. Coaches can include school PE teachers, parent coaches, or other volunteers at their Elementary School, Middle School or the community. In most cases, this ‘team’ is considered a school club, supported by the parents and PTSOs. MYA will serve as your meet director and facilitator during the season. We do not hold practices nor train athletes during this part of the season. If your school does not have a program and you would like one then we can get you started! Everyone is welcome, whether your school has a program or not, you are home-schooled, or just love to run!!
